Ho conosciuto John Hutchinson durante un viaggio in Scozia, non in bici stavolta. John ritornava dal suo tour delle 13 isole della Scozia, lui sì in bici. La soddisfazione apparteneva al suo sguardo. Osservandolo, lo paragonavo al mio solitario cicloviaggiare in Europa, in itinerari diversi, ma uguali nel modo in cui essi disegnano le pieghe del viso. Fu facile iniziare un discorso, più difficile proseguirlo, a causa della mia modesta conoscenza del suo idioma.

Notes The route is on surfaced public roads suitable for a road bike. The roads have little traffic and some are single track with passing places. It is not necessary to make reservations for ferries when travelling by bike.You can buy a ticket in Oban to cover all of the above journeys.You can take your bike on the train from Glasgow to Oban and from London to Glasgow but you must make a reservation for it.
